STOWAWAY offers the comfort and detail discerning travelers expect within art-filled spaces just one block from the Provincetown Harbor, and steps to all local amenities, including restaurants, shops, galleries, bars and beaches. There’s even a great market right next door!

Use the spaces within the guesthouse as you would your own home with few exceptions. Don’t be surprised to see an impromptu card game going on, someone reading on the porch with a glass of wine, some glamorous queen putting on her drag in the kitchen, or folks playing croquet or doing yoga on the lawn. Join as you like, and bring your friends! all are welcomed here.





The Grounds

Time to be outside. The exterior of the property is made for play. The manicured grounds include lush gardens, a generous front lawn with games, patios and porches, and ample parking. If the beach or trails are more your thing, walk or take a free bike on premise to your favorite destination.

Interior Common Areas

Make yourself at home. Common areas include two separated living rooms, one with a Steinway and one with a fireplace each with many moments found to socialize, game, read, or do whatever you like in. the heart of the home is a fuly adorned chef’s kitchen with 24/7 coffee and tea station.


Enjoy Our luxurious boutique guest rooms Each equipped with its own bathroom (en-suite), TV ready with Netflix, HBOGO and cable television, unique mini-split HVAC system for heating and cooling, high-speed Wi-Fi for free, an Alexa-echo for alarms, white noise for sleeping, music and more, Rooms include Stowaway embroidered extra-plush bathrobes, and custom high-end mattresses and bedding. Most guest rooms on the second floor have generous private balconies.

Designed for play, this oversized room is located on the first floor by the kitchen, and boasts 12’ ceilings and old world charm with original wide-plank pine floors, moldings, and oversized windows. A walk-in tiled shower with a rain shower head, and an in-wall toilet standout among the many recent upgrades.

THE Dunes

Possibly the most beloved room for its immediately apparent charms, this second floor room draws you in with its glass sliding door that opens up onto a generous private balcony. Valted ceilings and original flooring and moldings add to the experience. This room is an island on the second floor not immediately abutting (no shared walls) any other rooms. The space comes with a large closet and the bathroom includes a walk-in shower and pedestal sink.

Golden Hour

The largest guest room features a king bed, a large closet, laser-cut tiles and an extra deep soaking tub in the bathroom. This posh-designed space lets you luxuriate so you can get back out there and play. Too many windows to count.

Kiki Suite

The kiki happens within the two private bedrooms (queen and full sized beds) plus a kitchenette and private bathroom. Perfect for friends who are looking to stay together, but still have some privacy. Walk-in shower, and a kitchenette complete with quartz countertops, cooktop, microwave, Keurig coffee machine are at your service. It’s so easy here.

Land’s End

Something about this space makes everyone want to climb into the extra-lux sheets and get at that recuperation. It just draws you in. Queen bed with private balcony overlooking the patio area. The room is completed with walk-in, tiled shower, oversized television, hardwood floors and all those Provincetown charms one could stand.

The Cove

In the wayback of the property on the second floor stands possibly the most enchanting room. Large private patio overlooking the hot tub area and gardens, and a shower for two are among the features that make people want to move right in. This room has exactly what you need. Leather-themed upgrades available upon request - inquire within.

Gift certificates are good towards a stay at STOWAWAY for any room on any night, subject to availability and minimum night restrictions. Gift Certificates are non-refundable, non-transferable, cannot be replaced if lost or stolen and are subject to our Reservation/Cancellation policies.



We are not big fans of rules. Please just be respectful.


* Advance reservations require a 50% deposit.

* Single night reservations must be paid in full at the time of booking.

* Reservations made within five calendar days of an intended stay require a 100% deposit.

* Special event bookings, weddings and reservation of the entire house will be charged a 50% deposit and are subject to a 90-day cancellation policy.

* The balance of your reservation is due upon arrival by cash or credit. * All deposits and payments are due in U.S. Funds only.

* We do not accept personal checks for payment.

* You will receive written confirmation and a receipt for all booked reservations.

* Rates are based on double occupancy.

* Room rates do not include local taxes (11.7%). Packages and leisure add-ons are subject to state and local taxes. Taxes will be calculated upon completing your reservation booking.

* Reservations paid for with Gift Certificates, Charitable Donation Certificates or Coupons must be booked by phone and are subject to the standard cancellation policy. Gift certificates are good toward a stay in any room on any night, subject to availability and minimum night restrictions. Gift Certificates are non-refundable, non-transferable and cannot be replaced if lost or stolen.


S T O W A W A Y is adult only. The minimum check-in age is 17. If you book the entire house for an event, the minimum age is waived; however, we do not have cribs available. Minors do need to be supervised.


Regretfully, we do not allow pets with the exception of licensed therapy dogs. No pets can be left unattended on the grounds at any time. By staying on the Premise, dog Owner acknowledges that it is fully responsible for any and all damage caused by animal to other animals, people and the property, and releases Property Owner from any responsibility or liability of any claim made in connection with pet on Premise. The Provincetown Pet Resort ( is centrally located at 79 Shank Painter Road across from the Stop and Shop Supermarket. You can easily drop off and pick up your furry friends without going out of your way!


Check-in time is 2 PM - 6 PM. Please contact us to make arrangements for arrivals after 6 PM. If your travels bring you to us early, we offer a Luggage Drop-off and there is a bike rack where you may stow your bikes.

Check-out time for Guests (including cars) is 11 AM.

We use the three hours between 11 AM check-out and 2 PM to prepare for our next Guests. Please understand that we cannot accommodate requests for a late check-out or early check-in.


Our private parking area can easily accommodate one small to mid-size car per guest room. Big cars - not so easy. We cannot guarantee you a spot if you sport a larger ride, but will provide you with additional off-site parking information. If you think it may be an issue, let the management staff know ahead of time.


We are a Smoke Free Guest House. Smoking is not allowed anywhere inside the Inn. Candles and incense burning are also not allowed in guest rooms. A minimum of $250 for clean-up and/or repair will be charged. The final charge will include actual costs plus any lost income.


Guests are solely responsible for any and all personal belongings at all times during their stay. We assume no responsibility for theft or damage to your personal property or vehicle.

Side Patio area:

The exterior side yard is clothing optional with the exception of during events held onsite, or per owner’s whim. Again, be respectful and refrain from lascivious behavior.

ROOM DAMAGE or missing items:

Guests are solely responsible for the full cost to replace or repair any and all damage caused to their room, including soiled linens, broken furniture, fixtures and equipment, including labor fees, and missing items. Guests will be notified of any damaged or missing items, and the card on file will be billed for the total.

Provincetown is a destination for fun-seeking people from all over the planet. Located at the very tip of Cape Cod, Massachusetts, Provincetown is easily accessible by car, bus, ferry and air.

S T O W A W A Y is located at 210 Bradford Street in Provincetown's East End Gallery District at the corner of Bradford and Howland Streets.

By Car

  • Boston to Provincetown: 116 miles. About a two and a half hour ride.

  • Providence to Provincetown: 120 miles. A two and a half hour ride.

  • Hartford to Provincetown: 205 miles. Roughly a three and a half hour drive.

  • New York to Provincetown: 298 miles and a five hour drive.

By Air

Provincetown is a two and a half hour drive from both Logan Airport in Boston and T.F. Green Airport in Providence.

Cape Air provides daily round trip service from Boston's Logan International Airport.  It's a quick, beautiful 20 minute flight to Provincetown.  Once here, car rentals are available at the Provincetown Airport through Enterprise Car Rental 508-487-0009.

Jet Blue offers service from JFK to Hyannis with some crazy good rates.  Grab a plane. Rent a car.

By Ferry

There are two ferry companies that run daily high speed 90 minute services round trip from Boston.  Ferry service begins around Memorial Day and runs through Columbus Day Weekend. Check Bay State Cruises or Boston Harbor Cruises for schedules and fares. Ferry service is also available from Plymouth, Massachusetts.

Water Taxi

Water Taxi service is available at Logan Airport to both Commonwealth Pier and Long Wharf.

By Bus

The Plymouth & Brockton Street Railway Co. offers daily round trip bus service from Boston's South Station and the Hyannis Transportation Center with connections to many other regional bus routes throughout New England. In Hyannis, you can connect to Peter Pan Bus Line to Providence RI and New York City.

In Town

Provincetown is a walking town. Once here, you'll find that you can reach most destinations on foot or bike. Other local transportation options include local taxis, pedi cabs and a shuttle bus that travels around Provincetown and other destinations on the outer Cape.
